Bangladesh, July 22 -- The investigation into the murder of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Nahar Runi has been delayed once again despite the formation of a high-powered taskforce.

On Wednesday, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Additional Superintendent of Police Md Azizul Haque, the investigating officer, failed to submit the report to the court.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam then set Aug 27 as the next date for filing the report.

The deadline for submitting the investigation report has now been deferred 128 times.

Prosecution police Sub-Inspector Mazharul Islam confirmed the development.
