Bangladesh, Sept. 5 -- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam has said the Rohingya crisis has become more acute over the years.

Speaking at a discussion titled Upcoming UN Conference and Bangladesh Branding organised by the Centre for Non-Resident Bangladeshis on Saturday, she said it will be difficult to address the issue without international pressure.

There will also be a session on Rohingya at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) this year, where Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be present, she said.

"We have been talking a lot about this Rohingya issue, but in reality, the crisis has only deepened further," Shama added.
