Road crashes killed 14 a day in September: study
Dhaka, Oct. 4 -- An average of 14 people died in road crashes across Bangladesh every day in September, according to a report by the Road Safety Foundation.
The organisation recorded 423 deaths and 674 injuries in 442 road crashes during the month. At the same time, 16 people were killed and four went missing in 11 boat accidents. In addition, 19 people were killed in 23 rail accidents.
The data emerged from the Road Safety Foundation's September road accident monitoring report on transport accidents.
The organisation prepared the report based on information from nine national dailies, 17 national and regional online news portals, a number of electronic media outlets, and its own data.
