Dhaka, June 5 -- River Police have made passengers disembark from a bus that eventually fell into the river as it was attempting to board a ferry at the Daulatdia Ferry Terminal, according to a press release.

Bus passengers also said police had made the passengers get off the bus before it got on the pontoon at the ferry terminal. Because of the decision, no passenger was injured in the incident. The bus driver and his helper were later rescued from the river when the vehicle fell in.

A SB Super Deluxe Paribahan veered out of control from pontoon No. 7 at the terminal around 9:30am on Friday and fell into the river. The bus was going from Meherpur to Dhaka.
