Rickshaw driver's body recovered from garage owner's house in Gopalganj
Dhaka, May 21 -- A young man has been allegedly beaten to death in Gopalganj over accusations of stealing a rickshaw.
Inspector (Investigation) Nayan Chandra Debnath of Gopalganj Police Station said the body was recovered on Wednesday night from a multi-storey building in front of the Kazi Office in the Madhyamiyapara area of the town.
The deceased, Al Amin Sheikh, 30, was a native of Khatiyagor village in Durgapur Union of Sadar Upazila.
He used to drive a battery-powered rickshaw owned by Md Kamrul Thakur. In addition to running the rickshaw garage, Kamrul also worked as the caretaker of a house belonging to Dr MD Robiul Islam Tuhin on Sharif Liton Road in the Madhyamiyapara area.
