Dhaka, April 5 -- A Dhaka court has sent Iman Ullah Prakash Mastan to jail pending trial in connection with a devastating fire at a gas lighter factory in Keraniganj that left six people dead.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna passed the order on Sunday, scheduling a hearing for Monday regarding a 10-day remand prayer sought by police.

The matter was confirmed by Prosecution Police Sub Inspector (SI) Md Arif.

Iman Ullah, 50, was arrested from Kadamtali of South Keraniganj after a case was filed by SI Md Jewel Rana.

The other two suspects are the factory owner, Md Akram Ullah Akram, and his son, Ahnaf Akif Akram.
