Ramisa's father Hannan hospitalised with 'chest pain'
Dhaka, June 1 -- Hannan Mollah, father of Ramisa Akter, the 8-year-old who was "raped and murdered" in Dhaka's Pallabi, has been admitted to the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) with complaints of "chest pain" after a fever.
The institute's Director Abdul Wadud Chowdhury confirmed Hannan's admission on Monday.
Wadud said, "[Hannan] had a fever for the past five days. [On Monday,] he came to the hospital after suddenly feeling chest pain.
"I think he had a viral fever, which is why he was feeling pain in the heart cover [rib cage]."
The NICVD director said Hannan will be kept under observation at the hospital.
