Dhaka, Sept. 25 -- A farmer has allegedly been beaten to death by his neighbours in Rajbari's Kalukhali Upazila. Police have detained a woman in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred in the Upazila's Boalikhala village around 10am on Friday, said Md Rakibur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police (Pangsha Circle).

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Nazrul Islam Khan village resident.

Citing the victim's family, ASP Rakibur said: "A Facebook post by Nazrul Islam's younger daughter sparked a dispute with his neighbour Emon Sardar, his wife Bulu Begum, son Tuhin and daughter Golapi Begum."
