Dhaka, April 26 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken five suspects into custody for questioning following the discovery of customs official Bullet Bairagi's body beside the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Cumilla.

The suspects, described by investigators as "professional muggers", were detained in Cumilla and surrounding areas on Sunday, confirmed Lt Col HM Sajjad Hossain, commanding officer of RAB-11.

"We are currently interrogating five suspects in our custody. Our operation is ongoing, and further details will be provided later," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother Nillima Bairagi has filed a murder case against unidentified persons at Cumilla Sadar Dakshin Police Station on Saturday night.
