Dhaka, May 13 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has seized around 6.8kg of heroin worth nearly Tk 70 million from a cowshed in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila.

A man has been arrested in connection with the recovery, RAB said.

The arrest was made on Tuesday night during a raid at Charbagdanga's Malbagdanga, said RAB-5 Company Commander Mozammel Hossain.

The arrestee was identified as Zainal Tulu, 45.

In a media statement on Wednesday, the RAB said a team acted on a tip-off and conducted the operation in Malbagdanga, recovering the drug from inside a sack.

RAB official Mozammel Hossain said a case was filed and the seized drug along with the arrested suspect was handed over to Chapainawabganj Sadar Police.
