Dhaka, March 8 -- As the conflict in the Middle East continues, Qatar has issued a warning to the United States that the current escalation seen in the region will have "dangerous repercussions" on international security and peace.
Issuing the warning during a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on Saturday, Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed the need for containing the crisis and intensifying diplomacy to end it, reports Qatar News Agency.
The emir said: "Qatar will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty, security, and national interests in line with the UN Charter and the provisions of international laws."
