Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- Singer and actor Pritom Hasan and actress Shahtaj Monira Hashem have announced the end of their marriage "on mutual understanding".

The couple, who tied the knot four years ago, shared the news on their Facebook pages on Sunday night. A divorce process is now under way.

The decision was not sudden, they said. It came after long deliberation, lengthy discussion between themselves and the support and consent of both families.
