Dhaka, Sept. 29 -- The use of artificial intelligence (AI) should be kept within reasonable limits, President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said.

The president made the remarks when a delegation led by Prof Muhammad Masud, vice-chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), met him at Bangabhaban on Tuesday.

He said it should be ensured that AI is not used in an uncontrolled or indiscriminate manner, according to his press wing.

He noted that the uncontrolled use of AI is diminishing people's ability to think and their creative talents. Therefore, he stressed the need to ensure that AI is used in moderation and for public welfare.
