Dhaka, April 20 -- A Dhaka court has granted police four days to interrogate the driver and caretaker of Tarique Ahmed Siddique, the defence and security advisor of deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the killing of a businessman during the July Uprising.
Metropolitan Magistrate Didarul Alam passed the order on Monday after investigators produced the duo before the court seeking a seven-day remand.
The suspects were identified as Md Chan Mia, the driver, and Md Mohidul Islam, the caretaker.
Mohidul was apprehended on Sunday in Islambagh of Thakurgaon Sadar, while Chan Mia was picked up from Dhaka's Bhashantek.
