Dhaka, Sept. 19 -- Police have stepped up searches and patrols across Dhaka following a series of crude bomb explosions and a bus fire in the capital.The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said on Saturday that checkpoints had been set up at key locations, including the main entry points to the city, as part of "special security measures".At least eight crude bomb explosions were reported in different parts of Dhaka between Friday afternoon and night, including one in front of Jatrabari Police Station.A bus was also set on fire in front of Kafrul Police Station later in the evening.The DMP said the additional measures were aimed at maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.Police have increased surveillance on major roads, at impo...
