Dhaka, March 26 -- Detective Branch (DB) police have petitioned for a seven-day remand to question retired lt gen Sheikh Mamun Khaled, former director general of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI), in a murder case related to the July Uprising.
The case's investigating officer, Sub-Inspector (SI) Kafil Uddin of the DB police, applied for the remand on Thursday.
A hearing in this regard is scheduled to be held in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Siddique Azad, said state lawyer Muhammad Shamsuddoha Sumon.
