Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the long-awaited Family Card programme in Bogura Sadar Upazila on Mar 10.

This will mark his first visit to the northern district since assuming office as head of the government.

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mir Shahe Alam shared the development on Friday at the shrine of Shah Sultan Balkhi in Shibganj's Mahasthangarh before the Jummah prayers.

He noted that Ward 3 of Shakharia Union in Bogura Sadar has been handpicked for the pilot phase, and field-level data collection to identify potential beneficiaries is currently under way.
