Dhaka, April 2 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent a letter to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressing solidarity with the country amid the ongoing war in the Middle East.

Tarique's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir handed over the letter to UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a meeting in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

The two sides discussed issues of bilateral interest as well as the Middle East war, the country's state news agency, Emirates News Agency, said in a report.
