Dhaka, March 29 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman made a surprise visit to seven ministries at the Secretariat on Sunday morning, his first working day in the office after the Eid holidays.

Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Ruman said the prime minister arrived at the Secretariat at 9:05am and immediately began the inspection.

"He first visited the Ministry of Power and Energy in Building No. 6. There he entered various office rooms, spoke with officials and staff, and offered suggestions on preventing waste and ensuring efficiency," he said.
