Dhaka, June 9 -- The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) is meeting ahead of Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury presenting the national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the parliament on Thursday.

The meeting began at 10:30am on Tuesday in the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat, the press wing of the Prime Minister's Office said.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is presiding over the meeting.

On May 18, the ECNEC meeting chaired by the prime minister approved an Annual Development Programme (ADP) outlay of Tk 3 trillion for the upcoming fiscal year.
