Dhaka, April 2 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has appointed two more special assistants with the rank of state minister.
Former secretary Bijan Kanti Sarkar has been named special assistant for Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and ethnic minority affairs.
He is also a member of the BNP chairperson's advisory council and serves as chairman of the Hindu Buddhist Christian Welfare Front.
Tanvir Ghani has been appointed as special assistant for investment and the capital market.
A gazette notification confirming the appointments was issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday.
Tanvir is co-founder and chairman of Tybourne Capital Management, an Asia-based asset management firm.
