Dhaka, Sept. 26 -- The owner of an animal care centre in Dhaka's Gulshan and two veterinarians have been served a legal notice over allegations that negligence and improper treatment led to the death of a pregnant Persian cat.

Lawyer Mohammad Zahidur Rahman sent the notice by registered post on Thursday on behalf of the cat's owner Abibur Rahman.

The notice gives Bangladesh Animal Care Centre (BACC) owner Zubaida M Labanna seven days to take legal action against veterinarians Solaiman Hossain and Md Jubayer Ahmed.

If no action is taken, Abibur will pursue legal proceedings against all three, according to the notice.
