Bangladesh, Aug. 17 -- A pedestrian has been killed after being caught in a head-on collision between an easy bike and a motorcycle in Kalia Upazila of Narail.

The accident occurred around 9pm on Sunday in the Madhabpasha area of the Kalia-Khulna road, Kalia Police Station chief Idris Ali said.

The deceased, 37-year-old Sobuj Molla, hailed from Madhabpasha village.

Idris said, "An easy bike and a motorcycle collided head-on in the Madhabpasha market area. At the same time, pedestrian Sobuj Molla was walking past the scene. He was caught in the collision between the two vehicles and seriously injured.

"Locals later rescued him and took him to Kalia Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead."
