Dhaka, May 13 -- A Chattogram court has handed the investigation of a case involving an attack on lawyers, filed by the brother of murdered lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Bakar Siddique passed the order on Wednesday following a petition from the plaintiff.

The Detective Branch (DB) of police had previously handled the case, but the court has now redirected the investigation to the PBI.
