Dhaka, March 25 -- A special parliamentary committee has reached broad consensus on most of the 133 ordinances issued under the interim government, after two days of intensive deliberations, its chief Zainul Abedin said.
Speaking after the meeting at parliament on Wednesday, the Barishal-3 MP said the panel found "no dispute" on the majority of provisions, but identified around 20 issues requiring clarification and discussion.
The committee is set to reconvene at 8:30pm on Mar 29 to resolve these.
The 13-member panel was formed on Mar 12, the opening day of the 13th Parliament, after Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman tabled the ordinances in the House.
