Dhaka, July 2 -- Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh Yousef Saleh Y Ramadan has requested the government to introduce on-arrival visa facilities for Palestinian students so they can enter the country without a prior visa.

He made the request during a meeting with Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed at the Secretariat on Thursday, according to a media statement from the ministry.

The ambassador said a large number of Palestinian students are pursuing higher education at government and private educational institutions in Bangladesh.

He sought Bangladesh's support in introducing an on-arrival visa facility to ensure their travel and studies remain uninterrupted.
