Bangladesh, Sept. 14 -- More than two dozen people have been injured in a clash between members of a customer forum and former employees of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC outside the bank's head office in Dhaka.

The two groups took up positions outside Islami Bank Tower in Motijheel's Dilkusha on Monday morning to carry out programmes announced the previous day.

Tensions sparked shortly before 10am, when an argument between members of the two groups over their respective demands intensified into a scuffle and then a clash.

Members of the law-enforcing agencies were present at the scene when the two sides became involved in the confrontation.
