Dhaka, Feb. 15 -- At least four people have been injured in a clash stemming from a power struggle in Madaripur. Over 100 crude bombs were detonated amid the violence.
The clash lasted for three hours, from 8pm to 11pm on Saturday, in "Notun Madaripur" village in the Sadar Upazila, according to Md Jahangir Alam, Madaripur additional superintendent of police.
Joint security forces went to the area when the incident was reported and brought the situation under control.
Those injured in the clash are village residents Sajib Howlader, Rony Munshi, Rana Bepari, and Md Rashed.
Citing witnesses, police said that there had been a feud over control of "Notun Madaripur" village between residents Akhtar Howlader and Hasan Munshi for a long time....
