Dhaka, June 7 -- Three tankers of an oil tanker train have derailed near the Safdarpur Railway Station in Jashore.

The accident occurred around 6am on Sunday, according to Jashore Junction Station Master Ainul Hasan.

He said the train had been heading from Khulna to Parbatipur, carrying oil. Along the way, three of the tankers derailed near the Safdarpur Railway Station, snapping rail links from Khulna to the north.

A rescue train has set off for the scene of the accident, Ainul said.
