Bangladesh, May 26 -- Senior officials of the Power Division and subordinate agencies have been directed to keep close watch on local electricity conditions during Eid-ul-Azha to ensure uninterrupted supply.

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued the directive on Tuesday, requiring relevant officials to inspect the local power situation on the ground during the Eid holidays and give necessary instructions to field teams.

After their inspections, the officials must send a detailed report on the matter to the power secretary.

The ministry also asked authorities to inform consumers in advance about scheduled maintenance or unexpected outages to reduce public inconvenience.
