Dhaka, March 23 -- Operations in Bangladesh's public and private offices will resume on Tuesday following a weeklong Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, as people return to Dhaka and divisional cities

Offices will revert to regular 9am-5pm working hours.

Banks will reopen for transactions from 10am to 2:30pm, though official banking activities will continue until 6pm.

The capital market will operate from 10am to 2:30pm.

Kamalapur Railway Station and Sadarghat Launch Terminal were crowded with travellers returning to Dhaka on Monday, the last day of the Eid break.

Long-distance buses also returned to the capital with passengers.

Despite the influx, traffic in Dhaka remained moderate.
