Dhaka, March 6 -- Police have recovered the body of a nurse from a flat in the Hossaini Dalan area of Old Dhaka's Chawkbazar.

The woman, Nahida Akter Bobby, 29, worked at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, police said. She left behind a note seeking justice against her husband and members of her in-laws' family.

Chawkbazar Police Station chief (OC) Md Abdullah Al Mamun said officers recovered the body on Thursday night.

"The body was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a scarf tied around the neck," he said.

Nahida lived in the rented flat with her husband Elias, while her family home is in the Railway Colony area of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila.
