Dhaka, June 15 -- A driver has been killed after a newspaper-laden mini truck collided with another truck in Madaripur's Dasar Upazila.

Four others have also been injured in the crash on the Dhaka-Barishal Highway.

The accident occurred around 5:30am on Monday near Pantapara, Sub-Inspector (SI) Matiur Rahman of the Madaripur Highway Police outpost said.

The identity of the deceased driver could not be established immediately.

The injured were rescued and admitted to Madaripur District Hospital.

According to police, a truck travelling to Dhaka from Barishal collided head-on with a mini truck carrying newspapers from Dhaka to the south.
