Dhaka, June 7 -- The death penalty for the accused in the Ramisa rape-murder case was 'inevitable', and now Ramisa's neighbours in Pallabi are demanding its speedy execution.

Media workers have been gathering in front of Ramisa's rented house in Pallabi since Sunday morning to hear the verdict in the case. Many locals gathered there after the verdict was announced. Many were seen listening to the verdict on live video on their mobile phones.

Ramisa's school, Popular Model High School, is just a few blocks away from her home. The school opened on Sunday after the Eid holidays. Ramisa's classmates also came to school. Only Ramisa is not there.
