NASSA Group workers block Tejgaon road over unpaid wages
Dhaka, June 16 -- Workers of NASSA Group have blocked a key road in Dhaka's Tejgaon industrial area, demanding payment of overdue wages.
The action has brought traffic to a standstill in both directions, spilling congestion onto surrounding streets.
The workers sat down on the road outside Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station around 10am on Tuesday, shouting slogans over their demands and cutting off traffic in both directions.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Gulshan Traffic Division said on Facebook that movement on Tejgaon Love Road, also known as Tajuddin Ahmad Road, remained suspended, causing heavy congestion in adjoining streets.
