Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- National Citizens Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has accused reserved women's seat MP Ferdousi Ahmed Misty of leading the looting and demolition of the Radda MCH office and health centre in Dhaka's Mirpur.

The NCP leader made the allegation after visiting the site on Sunday, saying the MP's husband was once a local commissioner and her brother was a former Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal president.

"We respect their struggle. But we saw destruction, looting and mob rule under her leadership," he told reporters.

Misty's brother was late BNP leader Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu, a former Dhaka-7 MP.

Her husband is Mirpur's former commissioner and BNP leader Saidur Rahman Newton.
