MP Ferdousy Ahmed ordered to resign over Radda attack
Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- BNP reserved-seat lawmaker Ferdousy Ahmed Mishti has been ordered to resign from parliament over the attack, looting and vandalism at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur, according to a high-level government source.
The source said Mishti had been instructed to resign from parliament by Sunday.
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Abu Abdullah M Saleh confirmed the matter to bdnews24.com.
Mishti could not be reached for comment despite attempts to contact her.
Chief Whip Nurul Islam said he was not officially aware of any such instruction.
"I don't know. I am not officially aware of it," he told bdnews24.com.
