Bangladesh, Aug. 15 -- A clash between activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and the Gono Odhikar Parishad has broken out in Kushtia, during which the car of Amir Hamza was vandalised.

The Kushtia-3 MP suffered a head injury when the vehicle's windscreen shattered in the attack, police said.

At least 10 people from both sides were injured in the clash.

The incident occurred around 6pm on Saturday near Hamza's residence at Chhoyrasta intersection in the city, said Faisal Mahmud, additional police superintendent in Kushtia.

The injured are being treated at Kushtia 250 Bed General Hospital. Their names and identities were not immediately available.
