Dhaka, June 25 -- Police have filed a chargesheet in court against Rimon Barua alias Tejpriyo Barua Teju, a family member arrested over the murder of a mother and daughter in Chattogram's Anwara.

The chargesheet was submitted to the court on Wednesday, said Additional Superintendent of Police Rasel.

He told bdnews24.com on Thursday morning, "The testimony of 22 people, including four policemen, was recorded during the investigation. In addition, the accused gave a confessional statement under Section 164 in court."

"The investigation into the case was completed after analysing all the information and data, including the autopsy report, medical report, evidence, testimony and confessional statement."
