Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- Mostaqur Rahman has arrived at Bangladesh Bank, stepping into the country's central banking corridors as its first-ever governor from the business world.

The historic appointment, breaking decades of tradition favouring economists, civil servants, and academics, was marked by a quiet ceremony: deputy governors and senior officials greeted him with floral bouquets as he pulled into work in a Allion Series A-15 on Thursday.
