Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- A fierce competition is shaping up across Bangladesh's private education sector as 78,711 teachers vie for 13,559 leadership posts in MPO-listed institutions.

The applications were submitted online between Feb 3 and Monday evening, and candidates will still be able to apply until midnight on Feb 26, with the deadline extended by a week.

This marks the first time that the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) is overseeing the recruitment process for heads and deputy heads of private educational institutions.
