Dhaka, May 10 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has ordered a crimes against humanity case against Jahangir Kabir Nanak and 27 others over nine murders in Mohammadpur during the July Uprising to proceed to trial.
The tribunal set Jun 8 for opening statements and the recording of testimony.
A Tribunal-1 bench led by Justice Golam Mortuza Mozumder indicted the suspects on Sunday. The other bench member was retired district and sessions judge Md Mohitul Enam Chowdhury.
Prosecutor Gazi HM Tamim, Tarek Abdullah, Sahidul Islam Sardar and Abdus Sardar Palowan represented the prosecution at the hearing.
