Dhaka, April 16 -- A mobile court has sentenced two youths to one month of prison each for harassing female students in Netrokona's Mohonganj.

Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) MA Kader handed down the verdict after the duo was caught targeting school and college-goers with offensive comments.

Mohonganj Police chief Md Hafizul Islam Harun said on Thursday morning that the convicts were sent to jail following their arrest the previous evening.

The individuals, identified as Syed Maqsudul Haque Chowdhury Siam, 22, and Runel Mia, 23, were loitering on the Shialjani canal bridge near the town's food grain warehouse at 5:15pm on Wednesday.
