Dhaka, June 16 -- At least 20 people, including the Lalmonirhat district police chief, have been injured while trying to save a suspect from an unruly mob after a child was found dead in Aditmari Upazila.

The attackers also vandalised at least seven government vehicles, including the one designated for the deputy commissioner, in Folimari village of Bhelabari Union Tuesday afternoon.

Officers used sound grenades to disperse the crowd and restore order following the clashes that lasted for three hours.
