Dhaka, June 3 -- A mild heatwave is sweeping across 41 districts in Bangladesh, including the capital Dhaka, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) says.

In its weather forecast on Wednesday, the department said the Dhaka, Narayanganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Manikganj, Mymensingh, Chandpur, Noakhali, Brahmanbaria, Lakshmipur, Barishal, Patuakhali and Bhola districts, the eight districts in the Rajshahi Division, the eight districts in the Rangpur Division and the 10 districts in the Khulna Division are experiencing a mild to moderate heat wave that will continue into Thursday.

However, the heatwave may ease by Friday, said BMD Meteorologist Md Abdul Hamid Mia.
