Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- Another four people have died with measles symptoms over the past 24 hours, while 1,221 patients have sought hospital care.

Of all the patients that have been admitted with viral symptoms, 128 have been confirmed with measles, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The latest deaths have taken the number of people who have died with measles symptoms this year to 1,007. A further 101 people have died after being confirmed with measles, bringing the combined toll to 1,108.

One death each was reported in Dhaka, Sylhet, Chattogram and Mymensingh divisions during the 24-hour period ending at 8am on Tuesday, a DGHS bulletin said on Wednesday.
