Dhaka, April 9 -- The number of deaths among patients with measles-like symptoms continues to tick up at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).

Two more patients with the symptoms have died at the hospital over the past 24 hours. Another 26 children with symptoms have been admitted during this period.

Mohammad Mainuddin Khan, assistant director at MMCH, said on Thursday morning that both children had died around 8am while undergoing treatment.

One was a three-month-old from Netrokona Sadar Upazila who was admitted to the hospital with measles-like symptoms on Mar 17.

The other was an eight-month-old from Trishal Upazila, who was admitted with measles-like symptoms on Mar 18.
