Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- Another 11 people have died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours, while 113 new measles cases have been confirmed.

The delay in reporting four deaths on Monday has inflated the single-day number, according to the Wednesday bulletin from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The health directorate has been publishing measles data since Mar 15.

Official figures show 101 people have died from measles and 975 with measles symptoms, taking the toll to 1,076 in nearly six months.

Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of deaths with symptoms at 439, followed by Sylhet with 170. Rajshahi recorded 93, Mymensingh 78, Chattogram 78, Barishal 60, Khulna 42 and Rangpur 15.
