Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- A Man returned from Malaysia, Masudur Rahman, will be interrogated in police custody for two days over suspected ties to extremist groups.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana approved the remand petition on Thursday following a police request.
SI Aminul Islam of Airport Police presented Masudur before the court, citing Section 54 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and sought seven days to question him.
Police said Masudur had been detained in Malaysia for posting videos linked to Hamas, Taliban, and Al-Qaeda on Facebook.
Malaysian authorities later repatriated him, handing him over to immigration at Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday, police added.
