Dhaka, May 11 -- A man has died of his burn injuries following an explosion caused by a gas leak at a house in Narayanganj's Fatullah area.

The deceased, 35-year-old Kalam, was undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and had burns on 95 percent of his body.

He died around 11am on Monday, said Shawon Bin Rahman, assistant professor at the institute.

Kalam's wife Saima, 32, son Munna, 7, and two daughters Katha, 7, and Munni, 10, are still undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Saima has suffered burns on 60 percent of her body, Munna 30 percent, Katha 52 percent and Munni 35 percent.
